{"id":13838257827,"date":"2012-02-08T14:20:19","date_gmt":"2012-02-08T14:20:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lonestarbullion.com\/blog\/?p=13838257827"},"modified":"2018-03-15T04:49:43","modified_gmt":"2018-03-15T04:49:43","slug":"13838257827","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/lonestarbullion.com\/blog\/2012\/02\/13838257827\/","title":{"rendered":"An Unbelievable History of World Debt!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.creditloan.com\/infographics\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/900x2760xcl-regional-debt.png.pagespeed.ic.BkZSJhJZ_X.png\" alt=\"debt by region\" width=\"540\" height=\"1656\" \/><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Massive International Debt Crisis<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">A picture is worth a thousand words and this particular one is worth a couple of Trillion dollars. \u00a0I thought this map was incredibly important. \u00a0Most Americans have no understanding of how much debt the world as a whole has taken on in the last couple of years. \u00a0In just over 40 years \u00a0from 1970 to present day nearly every major country in the world has taken on massive loads of debt which they have never done historically. \u00a0These pictures are about the best example I can find. \u00a0The inevitable result debt accumulation is inflation. \u00a0Countries that have large debt loads are faced with four options. \u00a0(1) Pay of the debt, (2) Default on the debt, (3) Renegotiate the debt, or (4) Inflate their money.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\">History of the Debt Crisis<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">Over the past 1200 years of economic history, there have been a few cases of outright default, an even smaller number of renegotiations, and next to no repayments of debt. \u00a0On the other hand in just the 20th century alone we see between 50 and 100 cases of countries using inflation and hyperinflation as their means of destroying their debt load. \u00a0Indeed inflation is one of the best ways to steal from the lender. \u00a0Let say for example that US has a currency supply of $1 trillion and borrows $100,000, or 10% of the entire currency supply. \u00a0If the US over the next ten years increases the currency supply to $2 trillion. \u00a0They have reduced the $100,000 debt to only 5% over their total currency size, a 50% decrease. \u00a0If they continue the pattern of inflation they will inevitably reduce the debt to next to nothing.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">What is so significant about the pictures above is that a majority of the countries in the world have taken on massive debt loads that are nearly impossible to repay at this point or they as a country do not have the willpower to repay them. \u00a0This effectively means that we could have several countries go into hyperinflation at the same time, which will make the inflationary crisis ten times as bad. \u00a0In the end, the inflation that inevitably will stream from this massive accumulation in debt will cause commodities like gold and silver to soar. \u00a0 This will make investing in silver and gold even more attractive.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"file:\/\/localhost\/Users\/joshrenfro\/Desktop\/900x2760xcl-regional-debt.png.pagespeed.ic.BkZSJhJZ_X.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"file:\/\/localhost\/Users\/joshrenfro\/Desktop\/900x2760xcl-regional-debt.png.pagespeed.ic.BkZSJhJZ_X.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Massive International Debt Crisis A picture is worth a thousand words and this particular one is worth a couple of Trillion dollars. \u00a0I thought this map was incredibly important. \u00a0Most Americans have no understanding of how much debt the world &hellip;
